We were only here one night but have no complaints whatsoever. The best location if you are attending a show at the Peace Center. Just walk across the Reedy River Bridge and you are there. Would highly recommend.
Parking was a bit of a problem. Very full garage but there is an addition under construction.

Breakfast was great and the food staff was AWESOME! The lady that ran the breakfast each morning made you feel special. The location and view of the river is amazing.
I felt like we over paid. The room was okay nothing spectacular and it was probably the most expensive hotel on the river.

This is a nice hotel and it was especially nice to include a breakfast.
I was extremely frustrated because I arrived in Greenville for a wedding on Saturday at 2:45. Check-in was at 3 and I asked if I could get into my room 15 minutes early. They said no. And the follow up was the "room will not be ready until 3:30". I told them that was unacceptable because I had to be at a wedding at 4PM. It didn't seem to matter. The front desk kept calling the cleaning staff but no one seemed to be in a big hurry. I lived in Greenville for 12 years and decided to treat myself to a hotel stay downtown when coming back in town for this wedding. I was disappointed that the room couldn't be ready by 3PM. And then, being that this was not a last minute booking, was a bit disappointed that this was a wheel-chair access room that I'd obviously not requested. I felt like I was thrown wherever they could put me and disappointed in my ONE hotel experience in Greenville.

I was recently offered a position in Greenville, South Carolina, and I booked a 2 night stay with Holiday Inn Express Downtown so I could look around for an apartment. I checked in on Monday, March 14th, and went out for dinner. When I got back to the hotel the power was out, there had been a small storm. The worker at the front desk assured me that the power would be back on soon. The next morning, the power still was not on, and I had to take a cold shower to get ready to apartment hunt. The manager assured me that full refunds would be issued, and I had nothing to worry about. I checked out of that hotel, and booked a new one after the power still wasn't back on by noon on Tuesday, March 15th. Today, Thursday, March 17th, my debit card was charged two separate times, for a total value of $884.79. This value exceeds the amount that I should have paid, even if I had stayed both nights as I initially planned. As a senior in college, I do not have 900 dollars sitting around in my account, and therefore my account was charged 2 separate overdraft fees bringing the grand total taken from my account to $944.79. What makes this even worse is that the room was booked through Booked.net using a different credit card, the debit card was only presented at check in for incidentals. When I checked the credit card statement, I was charged $373.97--over $1,000 of charges! So I was charged $944.79 on my debit card, and $373.97 on my credit card. After talking to the hotel staff, they are "trying" to straighten it out. I have never had such issues with a hotel before, and I cannot believe a mistake valuing over $1,000 was made so easily by their staff. I hope they get this taken care of, but I will never be staying with a holiday inn express again, and unless you have a thousand dollars to spare for potential mistakes made by the staff, I would recommend you don't either.

My room had a balcony and the view was excellent.

Excellent location! Within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, parks, entertainment venues. Friendly, helpful staff. Would stay again in a minute and recommend to everyone.

The view, comfortable bed
When I booked the room for a certain price, taxes were not quoted and ended up being more money. Noisy guests yelling in the hallway at 2:00am

Loved the location. So close to Falls Park and Swamp Rabbit Trail
-
The excellent location made shows and fine dining locations all walkable.

The location was excellent.
My reservation described the room as a balcony room which is what I thought I was paying for; this was not the case. The man at the desk said, "Well I don't know how you thought that because our balcony rooms are sold out." Check in is at 3pm. Our room was not ready when we got there at 4:15pm. We had to wait another 20-25 minutes or so. Our room had a post-it (yes a yellow sticky note) on the headboard that said, "duvet has been cleaned for you." Well thank you for letting me know, but if I'm paying $200+ a night for my room, I would expect my duvet to have been cleaned? There was mouthwash (or what I hope to be mouthwash) splashed on the wall beside the sink and down the sink counter. The room was nothing but a trumped up Motel 6. The location was outstanding, and had it not been for that and the fact that the whole town was filled up with weddings and graduations, we would have looked elsewhere. We were in town for a romantic weekend and to see a play. This was not what I expected nor what it was made out to be.

Everything else was A plus. John at the Front Desk, was exceptional
Shower pressure is very very poor

The room, breakfast, and location
It didn't have a pool and you had to pay for parking. It would have been a better experience if parking was included so you didn't get hit with it right when you walked in the front door.

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean spacious. I enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony at night with the cool breezes.
Parking was a little stressful. I didn't like having to constantly keep track of the card with the green dot, in order to enter and exit the garage. In fact, a couple of times my husband had taken it out of the car but the attendant always let me exit. Also, having to go around the block to pick up the other members of my party when I would go and get the car, was a bit irritating, but doable.

Everything is close by and the view from our room was breathtaking!
